We Celebrated Resurrection Sunday yesterday. What a wonderful day to celebrate. We celebrate the fact that Jesus is our Lord and Savior and is risen from the dead. As we celebrate His resurrection it is important to recognize that He by grace was and is our substitute, the one who took our place and paid the penalty for our sin. As the Substitute He tasted death and went to hell in our place (see Heb 2:9, Rom 5:6-8, Acts 2:27-30). He is also our prototype, the first one born from the dead (see 1 Pet 3:18, Col 1:18, Acts 2:24) and is seated in heavenly places (see Heb 10:10-14, Eph 2:6). As the Prototype He is our example of one who operated under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. So when the Holy Spirit is received we have the opportunity to live as Jesus lived above the challenges and battle of life. Remember Jesus said in John 14:12 (NKJV)
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit we can do what Jesus did when He walked on planet earth.
