Throughout the old testament we see God establishing covenants with individuals and with the nation of Israel. His primary purpose for establishing covenants is to convince man that He loves them and wants the best for them. He endeavors to produce faith in man. His covenants were always to indicate His desire to protect man, to provide for man, and to have close fellowship with His people. The word covenant comes with the idea of cutting until blood flows. Jesus shed His blood for us on Calvary. Hebrews 12: tells us that the blood of Jesus speaks better things then the spilled blood of Able.

You see Abel’s blood cries our for vengeance, innocence lost and a life cut short. However the of Jesus cries out, I am your substitute, I am your sacrifice, I am your salvation.  You might say the blood shouts with the voice of Grace to all who would hear and respond. To the sinner who hears and responds to the voice of Grace, he is redeemed, forgiven, reconciled, righteous, saved, and Justified.

This Resurrection Day March 31 go to your local church and worship Jesus for His sacrifice for your sins. Rejoice that He has risen from the dead and lives forever more. Because of His death, burial and resurrection we can have life. All we need to do is hear, believe and receive what He has done for us.  That is Life Changing Good News.
