Turning the Impossible to possible

Advent – Christmas Season for the church world. It is a Season of high expectation in anticipation of some major event. Unfortunately, for much of the modern world, it has become high commercialized, Santa Clause is who is expected, trimming a tree, family dinners and gatherings, and the anticipation of gifts to be opened. These are not wrong in themselves, but only when they overshadow the real reason for our celebration. That is the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Even though we should never lose sight of the importance of birth of Christ, we sometimes overlook the importance of event that occurred 9 months prior to His birth.  God stepped out of Eternity into time and space and visited humanity and because of His love changed the impossible into the possible. That is when Miracles happens.

There are three key elements necessary when we are faced with impossible situation in order for that to change. Faith being the first key element. Faith is based on God’s word. Remember that faith begins where the will of God is known. As we study God’s word, the bible, we learn His will. The second key element is believing. Although they may seem to be the same. Faith is the noun that exist in a believers heart while believing is the verb that is put into action following God’s instruction. Accepting by faith what He said. In Luke chapter one Mary is greeted by the angel Gabriel with words like “hail, highly favored one, blessed are you among women, the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will have a son and call His name Jesus.” Her responses was simple, “Behold the handmaiden of the Lord, be it unto me as you have spoken.” Both faith and believing working together. The third key element is patience. Heb 6:12 tells us that faith and patience inherit the promises. You see, sometimes miracles are instant and sometimes there is an incubation period.

This season while we are celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus, don’t forget that God is still turning the impossible into possible.

Live Your Life

After the terrorist attack on Paris last week, the Word of the Lord came to me saying, “Live Your Life” and don’t let terror change the pattern of your life. Ps 91 says that the believer can live in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  All terror comes from the master terrorist, Satan. We must remember he is a defeated foe and has no right in  our life. We must however continue to live under the Shadow of The Almighty. In order to live in that shadow we must not have any unconfessed sin in our lives. Living in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  James 4 says we can resist the devil and he will flee from us. That immediately follows the words, “submit to the Lord”. If we refuse to submit to the Lord, then Satan does not have to submit to our resistance.

Here are few verses of scripture to stand up and build your faith against the terrorist of the world.

Remember Isa 54;17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”

1 John 4:4 “greater is he who is in me then he that is in the world.”

Rom 8:31 “If God is for me, who can be against me.”

Ps 27:1 ” the Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid?

Ps 23:4 “yes thought I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil.”

Motivated by Eternity

As 2013 comes to a close, we are all amazed at how fast time seems to be flying. Praise the Lord we are one year closer to meeting with Jesus. Whether He comes in the air as some believe to catch us up we will be with Him, or we meet Him individually when we leave this earth. That is a profound thought. However, this though enters my mind, there are millions upon millions who have not met Jesus here and there eternity is not so bright. You see if they depart planet earth without Jesus they will, according to the Holy Bible, spend eternity in darkness, and total separation from Life and God. That is a sobering thought. They are one year closer to that eternity. So in 2014 make eternity your motivation, tell others that God Loves them and Jesus died for them and forgives their sin.

Pastor Carl

Don’t let the devil steal your identity.

Hello again, Pastor Carl here with a warning and a caution. Satan wants to steal your identity and keep you from being all God intended for you to be. He also want to rob you of a positive christian experience. We must locate ourselves in God’s word and stand on that scripture a God’s photo of who we are. We can begin to wear that name tag because that is what God calls us. Take a minute and go the the media menu and click on the podcast link and follow the link for three messages that will reinforce who God created you to be and the identity that Christ died to purchase for you.
Be Blessed in Jesus Name.
